Glen is one talented man!  Well known in the folk circles of the east coast, Glen has recently focused his musical super powers on the world of Posi Music and we are totally thrilled about this!  Glen is a formidable guitarist and when you pair that up with his soaring vocals and catchy melodies, you have a CD you won’t even want to loan to your friends. (Suggest that they buy their own copy!)

“Unfolding”, the title track, addresses the age old question that we all face if we’re honest with ourselves.  Yes, we may have more questions than we have answers for, and we may not know what’s going to happen next, but we are all unfolding in a magical way.

“Vanishing Point” is a haunting duet with the vocal Goddess, Sloan Wainwright.  I think it is my favorite song on the CD.  This song is full of beautiful imagery, and reminds us not to be content just putting one foot in front of the other and staggering through life.  Instead, we are encouraged to dream big; to go for the pot of gold at the rainbows end, and to take a higher view of it all.

“Family” is a song that will bring tears to your eyes.  It is a true story, actually Glen’s story, shared with me while we were all vacationing in France.  I immediately recognized a great song!  It is the compelling story of his adopted parents who volunteered through Big Brothers of America and went on to adopt three brothers (Glen was the youngest) and give them something they’d never had – a family.  Asking the question “Why would they do such a thing”, the song reflects that this couple knew that it was “theirs to do”.  It has a perfect message for Father’s Day or Mother’s Day or any topic focusing on families.

“Secret Special Skill” is a fun number written when Glen led the music at a regional Y.O.U. retreat.  Addressing the sometimes awkwardness of teen years, Glen reminds each of us that we all possess secret special skills that make us unique gifts to the world.

All of the songs on this CD are catchy and well written, full of imagery and touching on subjects that each of us deals with on a daily basis.  I think it will become one of your favorite CDs of this year.
