“Shine Your Light” is the latest release from award winning songwriter and instrumentalist Len Seligman, and the CD is full of joyful, spiritual music.

Because Len is such a skilled instrumentalist, he plays many of the instruments on the CD and there is a wide variety of feels from swing to reggae.
With a title of “God Is Too Big for Any One Religion” the listener could be wary of lyrics loaded with dogma, but Len uses a light touch and humor to remind us that everything is sacred and every path has truth.

“Reborn Remnants of a Star” is a jazzy little number based on a poem by Hashem Todd Pease.  The jazzy feel of the song softens some of the heavy subject material, and it is very catchy.
Most of the CD is comprised of original music, but Len does a lovely job on the Leonard Cohen song “Dance me To the End of Love” as well as a cover of “Freedom Song” by Joe Crookston.
One of my favorite songs on the CD is “Shine Your Light” which was co-written with David Roth, Judy Moore, Anne and David Ezell during emPower’s Totally Cool SongSchool in a class led by David Roth.  5 co-writers is a miracle in itself!

These songs are accessible for a wide variety of singers and musicians and they will be a welcome addition to your repertoire.
