Lyrics: Verse 1 Laying on a tomb in Bethany was a heavy, heavy stone Across the cave of a young man’s grave, holding his flesh and bones in “the place of tears.” Jesus came to find that tomb And wept beside that stone The sisters cried, “He would not have died If you hadn’t left him alone, you were not here.” Chorus 1 That stone was rolled away, that stone was rolled away Even death was not enough to hide the glory of God that day. Sometimes it takes a savior calling with His bold command To overcome the gravity of things we don’t understand; Lazarus came out to Him that day, they rolled that stone away. In blazing light that Sabbath night, an angel rolled away that stone. Mary wept at dawn thinking He was gone and she’d been left alone then He spoke her name.
