About Me
Ty Andrews (born February 15, 1975 in Panama City, Florida) is a singer/
songwriter, musician and creative entrepreneur. Ty learned to feed his soul with music at an early age while growing up in a musical family as a ‘PK’ aka ‘preachers kid’ in a small church in Panama City, Florida founded by his father Eli Andrews, Sr.
Saxophone, steel drums,hand percussion
and African/modern dance are a few of Ty’s gifts and talents discovered at a young age. Ty’s velvet tenor and multi-octave range can accomodate a diverse repertoire of music styles and genres. He is currently a lead singer in the Atlanta-based band Limelight and has also performed internationally with various artists such as Karen Drucker, Francine Reed, The Jagged Stones and opened for best-selling author/speaker Les Brown.
Ty is in the 2013 released movie, What is New Thought? a documentary
film produced by Jon Miller featuring spiritual leaders Deepak Chopra, Della Reese, Wally (Famous Amos), David Ault and the growing impact of the New Thought spiritual movement and music.
He also founded Think Up, an award winning brand consulting/design firm that helps startups, non-profits, public figures, entertainers, corporations and other vision-led businesses get noticed through the power of marketing and design. Think Up was awarded The GDUSA American Graphic Design Award for World of EPI’s Positively Perfect Diva Doll and Package Design, a multicultural toy product providing children access to dolls that encourages dreams and opens hearts to all types of beauty. Under Ty’s creative lead, Think Up has collaborated with brands such as UPS, Walmart and Belle’s TV sitcom created by executive producer of The Cosby Show Ed Weinberger.
Ty’s talent and creative expertise also serving as Assistant Choir Director and former Branding/Media Coordinator at Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta (SLCA) has awarded them the U.S. Commerce Association Award for Atlanta’s Best Outstanding Religious Organization for 3 years since 2011.
Ty is also collaborating with several producers to record his new album that will deliver a diverse mix of music genres and celebrate the journey of conscious living. His Bollywood inspired style anthem, Letting Go was the first debut single release included on his most recent EP. The special enhanced CD contains bonus tracks, official music video for Letting Go as well as a cover song of the Navajo inspired prayer written by Karen Drucker, In Beauty May I Walk. The powerful, soul-stirring chant also pays homage to Ty’s own heritage, the Muscogee Creek nation.
Ty currently lives in Atlanta, GA.
