About Me

MORE ABOUT US. Gerhard was fascinated by the musical sounds as a child, at age 7 he made his first guitar, from the lid of an old detergent container, a piece of elongated wood, he nailed a fretboard and the for the strings he took a few pieces of hemp cord. This thing even sounded a bit. But he never played it, because his father got pity on the boy and bought him at the violin maker at the end of the street an old, used, classical guitar. Now, with the help of his older brother, he taught himself how to play guitar, at the same time, a band from England made a name for themselves, calling The Beatles. His classmates now wanted to learn to play the guitar, Gerd started to give them guitar lessons, 50 cents an hour.
At 14, he founded his first school band, later he played as a drummer with various bands, learned to play the piano and began to compose.
Monique was friendly and outgoing; as a child, she never liked to play with dolls, she preferred Cars and loved to play sports, including soccer with her school friends. She spent a lot of time listening to music. She enjoyed dancing to the Motown sound but never trusted herself to sing.
Gerhard founded a diving center in Turkey, where he met a few years later, Monique. She came to learn to dive, Gerd wondered about her condition in the pool, she was very athletic and adventurous, the two were soulmates and as life sometimes wants, they got married a year later.
They bought an old mahogany yacht from 1961, renovated them together on a hot, dusty shipyard in Bodrum, Turkey. After a few years of sailing in the Mediterranean, they set off for cross over the Atlantic, together with their female Dog Susi, a rescue dog they found on an icy winter night of 2000.
They sailed towards the Caribbean. Three weeks, pure life, water, wind, and stars. At first, they only wanted to spend three years in the Caribbean, but they soon realized that it was not just about sailing, they also wanted to enjoy the free life on board and the sea. They stayed for six whole years. It was important for them to get to know the country and their people, the culture behind it, the real-life, not just being a tourist.
It was on those long journeys, there, on this huge, deep cobalt-blue carpet, as Gerd, watching and composing with the stars of the Milky Way during his night watch, it was sometimes as if the Universe had its own sounds, its compositions would participate. Many nights he sat in the cockpit and collected these sequences, which are still today in his music.
Monique got to know her talent for writing, she started to write small travelogues next to the diary.
In 2009 they sold the boat in Malaysia, bought 2 bicycles, and traveled three months through Thailand and India with their bicycles. After these extreme experiences, they were tired of being on the road, they longed to be at there Farm in Hungary. They renovated the Farm and started growing their own organic vegetables and herbs.
In 2015, Gerhard bought a synthesizer, guitar, bass, and drums, and started composing as Monique spontaneously added the lyrics to a composition he’d played on a cold winter night. Within two hours, she had written her first text. Since they did not have a singer, Monique started to take vocal lessons from Sylvia Lee, a singing teacher from Hamburg, and Voice Coach Robert Lunte, from Sun Valley, Idaho, at the same time she learned to handle the electric bass. Three years later, she felt safe and ready to sing in the meantime songs. In February 2020 they released their first single, Unconditional Love
Unconditional love is crucial these days. the energy and power of unconditional love are complete and free. You have no obligations to each other except to give and receive love.
