About Me
Renata Shaw is a Victoria-based Singer/Songwriter, whose roots stretch all the way to the East Coast. Although she has lived on the West Coast for many years now, a piece of her will always remain on the other side of Canada. Her family tree branches throughout Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and with those down-to-earth musical traditions running through her veins, she comes by her own version of heartfelt music honestly.
Renata’s previous incarnations include lead singer of Bowker Creek (bluegrass-folk fusion ) and singing as a soloist with the Super Soul Sister and Inspirata Choirs. She is a regular provider of special music at Unity Victoria, and also performs at coffee shops, folk clubs, churches and festivals on Vancouver Island both solo and as part of various groups.
