About Me
Natty is a singer, rapper, writer and performer in contemporary gospel and inspirational music.
She sang in church from a very tender age, leading praise and worship on sundays, and was leader of her primary school choir.At 13 she started to write her own lyrics and joined a singing group which was dissolved after a year. “Dafamily” was later created at age 14 by her and her
brother Emma Mimba ,which also didn’t last long as he went on to pursue a career in football. At 16 Natty performed live at the World Music day and was spotted by old school singer and rapper Malcom Marky who took an interest in her talent and started getting her to record with music producers like Dj Pazzo and Ozone. Through him she got to perform more on other platforms locally and featured with other upcoming artists. These gained her recognition in her hometown Bamenda while developing her talent even more.
Natty took a break from music to focus on her education. She acquired an HND in Marketing and later on moved to Douala and enrolled at KM professional film academy where she studied Film Directing. After graduating in 2014 she decided to rebuild her career in music from the groundup. She entered the MTN Make the Music Competition and came 3rd. Being one of the
winners gave her the opportunity to perform alongside artists like DonJazzy,TiwaSavage,Yemi
Alade,Skales etc at ifest2014. Natty got a deal for the release, promotion and touring of her first single “wetti I do” which never pulled through because of some internal issues from the company.
After being signed for over six months with nothing to show. She kept on writing, recording, and performing. On Dec22, 2015 Natty left
her home town and moved to Yaounde to look for better opportunities in music. June
2016 she decided it was time to record an album. In September she started to record her debut album “NotAshamed” which she released Dec15,2016. With no record deal, manager,or huge
