Acoustic soul with a splash of California country – Americana music.
Raised on 70s rock, soul and funk of the San Francisco bay area music scene, Melissa’s music is melodic and soulful with plenty of groove. Having also been raised in the “religion of the month” club, searching for life’s answers became ingrained in her thoughts at an early age. Now she uses this well-worn pathway in her songwriting to unleash those inner questions and longings, exploring the mysterious inner truth – the journey of the soul. Writing songs of hope, healing, and joy has been a cathartic remedy to her deepest hurts and she hopes that sharing these songs with you will provide a comfort that you are not alone, that there is a hope beyond what appears to be happening right now.
