About Me
My name is Maurice Turmel – “Dr Moe” – and I am a retired Psychologist with over 30 years experience in the helping professions. I”ve been involved in personal and spiritual growth since the early 70s when I went through a personal spiritual crisis.
That set me on a path of “seeking”. Music was always my companion and has seen me through the good times and the not so good. For the past 15 years I’ve been writing music and creating demos. I recorded in Nashville in the late 90s and have since set up my own studio for creating music from home.
I have over 120 songs in my songbook, more than 70 of which have been developed to the demo level. Currently I have 3 albums of 12 polished rockin blues tunes in each that are available to market. 1) Occupy Your Heart; 2) Now Is the Time; 3) Speed of Love. All songs are about personal and spiritual deveopment, ascension 2012, connecting with Source and expressing the Divine from within.
My music is from The Heart. It is inspired. It is part of my mission for this incarnation. I also have 3 published books available through Lulu.com – 1) The Voice – A Mythological Guide to Lightworker Service; 2) Conscious Evolution – Preparing for Ascension 2012; & 3) How to Cope with Grief and Loss.
My main music influences are The Doors, B.B. King, Bob Marley, Brian Ferry and The Cars. I also like The Little River Band, Hothouse Flowers, China Crisis and The Fixx. My music is Spiritual / Inspirational.
Some songs I’ve written come from the perspective of God singing to us. In orther words, they are “message” songs set against a Rockin Blues background. Like many today who call themselves Lightworkers, Starseeds and Wayshowers, I am here to help usher in the New Age of Peace, Prosperity and Community.

I believe positive music can heal our emotional wounds so we can open our hearts. Love is the answer, but that love has to come from our connection to Source. So healing for all of us is a precursor to that level of openness. Music is the only form of communication I know of that is instantly recognizable. If it resonates and feels good, it will help you heal.
