Songwriter in the Celtic tradition of telling stories and speaking Truth to Power. What we now call Druids were the priestly class in what included three separate specialties. The Brehons studied and dealt with the Law. Bards were teachers, community leaders, and responsible for creating new songs when important things happened, as well as remembering all the old ones. Each of these sections began their training as selected, talented children, economic class notwithstanding. The twelve years of basic knowledge were but prerequisites of the years of training in each student’s specialty. These were all Druids.
