About Me

Composer/musician Kelly Andrew has always been drawn to the arts. From a very early age, he would draw and paint incessantly as he listened to music. As a toddler, while other children were playing games, Kelly preferred to put his father’s headphones on and jump on a mini-trampoline to the rhythm of the full, rich orchestrations of Mannheim Steamroller, Andreas Vollenweider and Disney.

Kelly Andrew has always been self-motivated to follow his natural talents in art, music and drama. Throughout high school and college, he qualified for the highest level choirs including Colorado All State Choir, a select group of top vocalists from across the state and later in college, as a member of the highly rated elite Jazz Choir. Although Andrew was a top student with a straight “A” grade average throughout his school career, art and music were in his soul. Through his strong drive, ambition and discipline, he obtained many awards and recognition including induction into the National Honor Society and ultimately earning him several college scholarships. Still, during this very busy and arduous schedule, he taught himself how to play both the guitar and the piano.

Kelly Andrew graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado and has developed software for both Hewlett-Packard and IBM. After five years in the industry, he took a temporary break from the software environment, moved to Florida and began three years of disciplined intensive study of music, professional piano instruction, music composition and self-introspection. During that time, he wrote over two hundred compositions, including more than a dozen songs in the “Trance” genre, which received national recognition throughout United States, Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East. He was also commissioned to write an album of movie trailers for Audiomachine and wrote, produced and recorded two albums: Journey and Epoch Dawn.

Currently living in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Kelly splits his time between composing, performing and recording music as well as being employed as a full-time software engineer. He loves being an artist/composer but also enjoys the business side of the industry. “I believe successful musicians see music as a business as much as it is an art. I continually strive to not only get better at musicality but also better in the business of music. Success is making a living, loving what you do. I enjoy composing, performing and making people feel good. I like to hear from listeners and musicians from around the world and the influence I’m having on them.”

Kelly looks forward to the day that he can tour extensively, performing his music and meeting his fans. His music has received numerous awards and recognition over the years, including the Independent Music Awards and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. In October 2016, Kelly released his fifth album, Rendezvous, co-produced by the legendary Grammy award-winner, Will Ackerman, founder of Windham Hill Records. This talented young man is gaining momentum and we will be hearing a lot more from him in the years to come.
