About Me

On April 14, 2013 touring musician and Posi Awards nominee Chris Pfeiffer was a guest artist at Unity Church of San Antonio, TX with music director, Kelly Quinn and Full Moon Eye began.

It was immediately evident that the synergy between them, their voices, and their instruments created something new, different, and yet the same; as if one person were playing. The usually reserved Reverend Ellen Debenport (Unity of Wimberley, TX) exclaimed after Full Moon Eye’s first appearance at Unity of Wimberley, “Oh yes! This really works!”

Their first CD, Full Moon Eye, received two first-round 2014/15 Grammy nominations for best song and best album in the Americana Roots category.

“Full Moon Eye knows the way to the heart. Their music comes over you softly, whispers its way in until you find yourself humming the melody. Then, you notice it has you. Their message has opened you.” ~Reverend Linda Martella-Whitsett, Unity Church of San Antonio

“Unity of Fairfax is grateful to have learned of the music and blessings of
Full Moon Eye, also known as Chris and Kelly. This is inspirational
songwriting at its best, and the genuineness and authenticity of their
personalities shines out as they share Chris’ healing songs. Kelly’s
keyboard melodies and Chris’ guitar riffs interweave a delicate
conversation that mimics the interplay of their voices. This husband-wife
duo brought a soul-filled experience to our community, and were also
fabulously easy to work with!” ~Carole Tomhave, Dir. of Music
Unity of Fairfax, VA

“Full Moon Eye is that rare and magical melding of spirits and song.
Letting go of everything outside the walls of a sanctuary or concert venue
is effortless as soon as the music begins. The joy Chris and Kelly express
in sharing their songs is richly contagious.” ~Kit Holmes, Music Minister, Unity Church of Wimberley, TX

Full Moon Eye comes from this poem by the Sufi poet Hafiz:

With That Moon Language

Admit something: Everyone you see, you
say to them, ‘Love me.’
Of course you do not do this out loud;
otherwise someone would call the cops.
Still, though, think about this, this great
pull in us to connect.
Why not become the one who lives with
a full moon in each eye
that is always saying, with that sweet
moon language,
what every other eye in this world is dying to hear?

May we all live and love with a full moon in each eye.
