About Me

Erik grew up on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, enjoying the fun summers on the beach and the long cold winters as a year round resident. Life on the Island was simple, allowing Erik the space to foster his creativity in many ways. At the age of nine, Erik made his first public performing debut. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house after Erik sang, “Brother Can You Spare A Dime” a song from the great depression. Erik’s innate ability to communicate his music through “an open heart” was apparent even then. Healing others with his music continued to be the thing that inspired him to write and perform, composing his first inspirational song as a young teenager.

Although music had always come naturally to Erik, he decided to further his musical knowledge by obtaining a degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was there that Erik received the experience and the tools necessary to become a professional recording artist, giving him the confidence he needed to produce his first record “Piano Meditations”. Soon after that, Erik released his second album “Always the Season” an energized piece of work incorporating the vocal talents of many other top singers. As an inspirational classic “Always the Season” encourages us to incorporate the true nature of the holiday season into our everyday lives. “(Live) This Time Around” is Erik (Live) and at his best. This compilation of various concert recordings is an intimate look at his personal journey of love, heartbreak, joy, friendship, self-discovery and redemption. His 4th “We Are Here” brings Erik’s music to the main stream with radio friendly productions, clever hooks and catchy pop melodies. With his latest CD “ALIVE”, Erik explores the courage and beauty of being a survivor by overcoming personal heartbreak and loss by moving to a space of inner strength.
In addition to writing and producing records, Erik has also provided uplifting (Live) music for many well-known authors including: Neil Donald Walsch (Conversations With God), Marianne Williamson (A Return To Love), Deepok Chopra(Ageless Body, Timeless Mind), Mark Victor Hansen(Chicken Soup for the Soul), Rev-Mary Morissey(Building Your Field of Dreams), Alan Cohen(The Dragon Doesn’t Live Here Anymore), Della Reese, Terri Cole Whitaker, Les Brown, Rev-Michael Beckwith (AGAPE), Famous (Wally Amos), and Rev-Dr.Barbara King to name a few. In addition to Erik’s solo performances, Erik has shared the stage with many other well known artists such as Grammy winner Paula Cole, blues-pop teen idol Johnny Lang, saxophonist Warren Hill, singer Carly Simon, blues legend Taj Mahal, Earth Wind and Fire’s Al Mackay, Michael Jackson guitarist David Williams, weather report drummer Ndugu Chanceler and jazz great Barbara Morrison, to name a few.
Erik continues to uplift and inspire thousands of people in all parts of the world. His life is about music, his music is about love and his message is about inspiration.

“May the creative power in you continue to touch, heal and inspire those around you.”
