About Me
I am a positively soulful singer songwriter and inspirational speaker.
Hello and thank you for visiting my page. As long as I can remember I have always wanted to create music. There is something inside of me that must create–and music is a big part of how I express myself. When I went to college I studied music. My actual degree is in Opera– not very practical. Since graduation I have sung the blues, soul, pop, dance, jazz, gospel –you name it! My voice has been featured in national advertising and I have performed in many different venues–large and small. The biggest thrill for me musically is to connect with my audience by creating music that is honest, inspiring and POSITIVELY SOULFUL! I have released 3 independent recordings; Joy Rising (2013), a collection of 14 inspirational songs; Fearless, (2008) a collection of 12 empowering songs and; Out of the Blue (2003), my debut CD of 11 positive pop songs. I have filmed 2 high definition inspirational videos (Keep my Faith and the 2011 Posi Award winning video More Than You Know. I am enjoying a growing audience of dedicated fans!
I am a Music Director for Unity Christ Church of Bon Air in Richmond, VA and have served this community for 14 years.
For the past 12 years I have developed and managed a music program & recording studio in Richmond, Virginia that serves at-risk teenagers (living in a residential treatment center). This job brings me great joy and satisfaction and I am glad to teach the hip hop generation.
