About Me
I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s. Raised on Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Nat King Cole and big bands.Then along came rock and roll.We lived near Cleveland so listened to Alan Freed both from there and from Akron. Used to get excited when the jocks would “fly in records freshly recorded just hours ago from New York and played for the first time ever”. Man were we gullible. Then in the 60’s I was so moved by folk music Pete Seeger, Joan Baez,Phil Ochs,Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, The Kingston Trio, Peter,Paul and Mary.On our first date I took my wonderful, loving, spouse of thirty plus years to hear Judy Collins at the Blossom Music Center and we spent that summer there almost weekly enjoying James Taylor, John Denver, Seals and Crofts, Three Dog Night, Peter Paul and Mary, as well as The Carpenters and yes I will admit to enjoying an evening of Barry Manilow. Today I love getting to hear and meeting artists such as David Roth,Jana Stanfield,Devotion,Steve Gillette,Cindy Mangsen,Tom Kimmel,David Friedman,Richard Mekdeci,johnsmith,our own chocolate addict Sue K Riley and so many more. Their messages and their music are important and a blessing to the world and to me.
