About Me

Born in Oregon on the election day of JFK I was a childhood gospel and jazz pianist, trumpet player, singer, songwriter. My adult life began in NYC after a brief time in Los Angeles, Portland, Oregon, and Seattle. I did retail and wholesale businesses, law, real estate, beauty, as well as playing music for off off (way off!) Broadway venues, and starring in my own cable TV show on Manhattan cable, called “Mystical Being.” Instead of dying from AIDS, like so many of my friends in New York in the 80’s and 90’s, I sold my life insurance policy, bought recording studio gear and learned how to produce my own music. I also underwent a metaphysical transformation and received much knowledge from several different masters and teachers, that saved my life. In 1994/95 I toured Israel with my first CD. I got lots of exposure, TV, and radio play but I was getting too skinny to continue so I retired to Miami Beach where rapid physical recovery began. So… I went skydiving… After plane crashes killed 4 of my instructors, I quit skydiving and began producing music for myself and others in my recording studio in South Beach. I wrote and produced music for a new musical by Jim Tommaney called “Snake!” for The Edge Theatre. I also became a volunteer music therapist at 4 senior centers in the Miami area, receiving volunteer of the year award at Miami Beach Senior Center for the year 2000. An infectious process began eating my vertebrae causing level 10 pain. I closed my studio. Meanwhile I had a biopsy on a different area and discovered cancer which had to be surgically removed out of my neck. Four surgeries later, my falsetto was gone and so was the cancer. My new voice is deeper and I love it. Just after a neck surgery I sang an original song for Shri Ravi Shankar (PundaJi) at a Kria Yoga event in Ft. Lauderdale. My partner, Clark, and I moved up to Highlands County, Florida so that Stinky, our Boston Terrier, could have a yard and a girlfriend. I became music director at Sebring First Christian Church until I was accused of heresy for writing an article in support of gay marriage in the local newspaper. A story and picture of me removing my Organ from the church became a national news item. Naturally, I called Reverend Andrew Conyer at Unity of Sebring, Florida who welcomed me with open arms. I have been there ever since. In 2005 I fell from the top of an old oak tree breaking off my left arm and breaking my left leg. 18 orthopedic surgeries later everything is whole and works! I love helping others. My purpose is to bestow love and to inspire others to be altruistic. Current projects are recording/playing/singing, and marketing all of my new thought music; helping with a local food bank; continuing education. Studying Kabbalah Thank you to all responsible for this wonderful venue. Peace, Love, and light.
