Reading the wishes for a Happy 2009 and all of the positive resolutions, Richard's post about Abundance and Donna Christine Park's comments about Choosing Words to Represent, really struck a chord with me. It resonates even more loudly after the sermon my pastor chose this Sunday: instead of living for the blessing we should live FROM the blessing.

I wanted to point out the beauty of their thoughts with everyone and share a challenge.

What word or words would you choose to represent in 2009? Not something you try to attain, or live by. Not a word that you want people to use to describe you, but a place to come from.

Put it on a sticky note by your coffee pot. Write it on your mirror (dry erase markers work great!). Frame it and hang it with your family portraits.

Richard is living the Abundance.

Donna is living from Peace.

I'm rising every day and living from the Blessing.

What about you?

Since I'm a newcomer to this community I'm enjoying reading the blogs and comments in the forums and I think this topic is certainly one to keep on updating in 2010... I choose the word Empowered as that's a state of being I am grateful to take action from in any moment..for my highest good and that of others.

The cool thing about doing what I do is that I get so much posi-energy from all of our members. I'm truly emPowered too! It's good to hear from you Valerie. May your 2010 be only the best!

Thank you Mrs. Z for the welcome. (It took me a little while to get back to this site, but I think it's a wonderful endeavor to have this site available.) thanks for all you do and all the others at emPOWERMA.com - counted among my blessings. Valerie

Of course, this is an easy one for me… “to love unconditionally”. ;-)

I believe I'll borrow the word of another poster, Uncluttered. I've got a nice start on clearing out the accumulation of stuff from my garage/workshop, nice enough that the garbage man felt the need to remind me that he does accept tips.

Optimistic. *points to screen name* Technically, I'm still working on last year's resolution. If I still don't feel like I'm there by 2010, I will change my screen name to "Eternal Aspiring Optimist." ;)

I am ORGANIZED to free myself from encumberments that detract from my creativity and joy.

My word is...ORGANIZED.

Commitment

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
