Sacred chant artist Miten’s powerful song, “All Is Welcome Here” opens this brilliant, life-affirming, thought-filled collection of songs by Richard Mekdeci, replete with beautiful harmonies and flawless production.

You really know you’re going to be in for a treat when the title track pops on next, switching the gears, and making you smile and giggle.

I must say that I super love Richard’s piano-oriented take on “No One Gets to Heaven”—one of my all-time favorite, award-winning Posi songs by Tom Kimmel and Klaus Caprani. Richard’s version is a bit more light-hearted and mid-tempo, and seasoned with guest vocalist Harold Payne, plus Daniel and Melina Nahmod.

Another really cool vocal arrangement that will dazzle you is the clever, insightful “Someone Like That.” Richard sings almost all of Daniel Nahmod’s back up vocal arrangements on this project.

Your congregations will love doing Richard’s and David Roth’s offertory song, “A Hundred Ways” and the fun, fun Jana Stanfield co-write, “Magnificent Me!”

“I Will Take Care of You” (co-written by Jack Fowler & Lori Sandstrom) and “I’m a Man” (co-write with Karen Taylor-Good) are beautifully crafted songs of caring and support.

Wrapping up this phenomenal gift of tasty tunes is the benedictory hip-hop sing-along, “The Light of God,” our Prayer for Protection in the affirmative tense.

Surrounded by ultra-talented friends and bathed in the stellar production of the 2013 Unity “Grace Note Award” winner, Daniel Nahmod, every song on this collection shines. Richard has a unique way of blending his sincere, thought-provoking messages with love, humor, and a genuine heart-felt musicality. I smile as I think of how far he has come in his craft, literally “getting better every minute.”

There are many reasons why Richard is one of the “patron saints” of Posi Music and this CD is one of them. So far, so awesome!
