I was stuck in a black hole, aching in my teenage soul
Starting to get old before my time
I was sulking by the gym, my teacher wandered in

So I went off to college, to get myself some knowledge
And maybe change my point of view
I found a little romance, went jogging round the grandstands
And joined in a band to sing the blues
One night before a party,
My Dad called to talk to me
He asked me am I doing OK?
I said Dad ain't no point in the papers that I turn in
But I still keep on learning something every day, and
