Who's Online

I often will revisit favorite books, something I have been teased about - I already know how the book ends.

But that's exactly the point. My favorite reads are good friends, reliable and steadfast. I return to them time and again because I know what I will be getting from the experience.

He Still Moves Stones was the first Max Lucado book I ever read. Now, nearing 20 years after it was first published, it still inspires me as much as it did when I first read it. The theme of the book is present tense, what Jesus does now based on what he did for people who were hurting the most. Reading it, I can feel how his touch applies to me.

It's a book that lifts my spirits when I'm feeling challenged, overwhelmed or down in-general. Reading it, I find myself reminded that economies and elections aren't the foundation of my life. I've been called to a higher purpose.
