Okay, it's not technically in my iPod yet, it's still on an old audio cassette, but it will be in my iPod shortly. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am on a mission to convert all things analog to digital, including tapes, photos, and old super 8 films, and this old cassette which I had completely forgotten about was such a wonderful find!
With tremendous respect for the Robert Preston version of "Ya' Got Trouble" from "The Music Man," my very favorite version was performed by my old friend Kenn Pettiford some twenty years ago at the piano in his own living room, and he was kind enough to let me record him. I lost touch with Kenn quite some time ago, but was so tickled by hearing his hilarious rendition of this song again after all these years that I'm definitely going to write and let him know.

"The Music Man" is just one of those feel good stories that I never get tired of. The kids and I watched it tonight and now I have "Pick a Little" stuck in my head - and that's not a complaint.
I checked out Kenn's website and he's brilliant. As soon as you have Ken's version of "Trouble" digitized, I would love to have a copy.
