Here's a fun activity for music lovers I just ran across. I don't know that my results show anything more than I a) have embarrassingly outdated musical tastes and b) have way too much time on my hands this afternoon, but a few of them made me chuckle.
IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
Here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For each of the 19 prompts listed, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't embellish
1. Opening Credits: This Masquerade, George Benson
2. Waking Up: Mean Green Mother From Outer Space, Levi Stubbs
3. First Day In School: Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?, Boy George

Well I tried this and got stopped in my tracks (yes, pun intended) when every song of the 19 were Beatle Songs!!
I guess I am dating myself but I love the Beatles!
I know what you mean. There's a pretty wide variety of stuff on my iPod, but this particular shuffle decided to fixate on only the small percentage I put there just because it brought back fond memories of my youth. The Barry Manilow and Austin Roberts was one thing, but when it pulled up David Cassidy and one tune from Multiplication Rock, I thought, "Do I really want to admit to this?" ;)
