Imagine my delight at finding one of the culprits eating so much memory on my iPod right here at emPowerMA! A huge welcome to HA Ethridge of Queen Anne's Lace!

I first became acquainted with this group a few years back during an online discussion of musical genres. When I said that I loved the purity of a cappella (a large chunk of my iPod's memory was, even then, filled with 50s-style doo-wop and barbershop quartet), I was pointed toward QAL. With clean, tight harmonies, amazing range, and a distinctively haunting sound, these women are a cappella at its best. I'm especially partial to their soulful renditions of Danny Boy and Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen, but their repertoire is broad enough to offer something for everyone, from gospel to, yes, doo-wop!
