"I grew up in a clannish southern community and remember making a very conscious decision, when I saw 'To Kill a Mockingbird' at age-three, that I wanted to be Atticus Finch rather than Bob Ewell." Her firm belief in the power of positive thinking she attributes to a less likely idol. "Wile E. Coyote. You just have to admire his tenacity. No matter how many times he got dropped, squashed, or exploded, he just kept getting right back up.

Lori Zwermann

Lori Zwermann likes to think of herself as a cheerleader, reminding everyone in her path to look for that silver lining. She loves working with youth and is involved in the ministry at Lakeview Church of Christ in Bethel, OK. "I think what I like most about emPower is the sense of unity. Even though we're people of all faiths from all over the world, we have a common purpose."
