In April of 2009 I had a great opportunity to film a music video in Virginia Beach. Students from Regent University Film Department approached me about producing a music video for my song More Than You Know, from my Fearless CD.
 
A crew of 20+ (including dancers, actors, makeup, special effects & camera crew) put their love and expertise into this project. It has truly been an adventure for me-- both humbling and exhilarating.

As a gigging musician I am contracted to sing at a variety of events--and YES, that includes wedding receptions. On occasion, I work with a marvelous dance band that plays for concerts, banquets, corporate events and wedding receptions. Recently we were contracted to perform for a wedding reception that I will not forget.

This inspirational song was written for an Easter service for Unity Christ Church of Bon Air in Richmond, Virginia (my home church). It was recorded and released in 2008 on my Fearless CD. I have not posted a blog in a while although I visit the site every now and then. I have been enjoying my Summer with traveling, singing, presenting concerts and inspirational talks. I have performed/presented in PA, DC, Charleston, SC, Maryland and the mountains of Virginia as well as my hometown of Richmond, Virginia.

As a professional musician I travel alot. I go where the gigs are, traveling to cities & roadsides, elegant places and biker bars. I travel to familiar places and places I have NEVER been before. Amazing places, and places I never want to see again. I have gotten used to the emotional uncertainty and anxiety while driving by myself and getting lost. I have learned the delicate art of getting out of my car and asking directions (only to drive around in circles while I affirm... I am peaceful... (deep breath)... I Am peaceful, I AM PEACEFUL! #%$@). I have gotten used to the panic of worrying.

I have posted another slideshow video to YouTube. This animated video is for my hip hop-flavored song Keep My Faith. This song originated from a journal entry to myself. I had a lot of fun creating the music and the video. I give "fear" the boot. Watch it & pass it on.

My band traveled up to Northern Virginia to play for an inaugural-type event yesterday (inaugural day). This event was booked BEFORE the election so I was curious what was in store for us. When we arrived at the Hyatt we found our ballroom and realized we would be playing for the organization People to People. Our audience was 300+ young screaming teenagers (who had all flown in from all 50 states to see Obama take the oath of office. The evening dance was their inaugural ball.
