Q. What is the deadline for submissions to the Annual Posi Awards?
A. Song and video submissions for the Posi Awards are usually opened in February of every year and closed in May.
Q. What is the submission fee?
A. The submission fee is $20 per song.
Q. What are the guidelines for consideration for a Posi Award?
A. emPower Music and Arts celebrates artists whose work is emPowering. This can be transformational, uplifting, socially concious, and even spiritual music, anything POSItive. More details, including categories, are on our submissions page here.

Q. Who attends the annual emPower Posi music Festival?
A. emPower Music & Arts has created a yearly industry event that is intended for everyone in the empowerment community to attend. With concerts, jam sessions, artist meet and greets, a tradeshow and workshops for both fans and musicians, it is entertaining and educational for all.
Q. I didn't win an award, so why should I attend?
A. The Posi Music Festival is THE big Posi event of the year. It is a weekend of opportunities to become more successful, not only through education and promotion, but also through networking.
Q. What song file formats will emPower accept?
A. We can only accept songs submitted in mp3 format. mp3 is a standard file format that both PC & Mac users can play. We will have many judges listening to the submitted songs and the mp3 format ensures that we will mitigate any compatibility issues.
Q. How do I convert my files to mp3 format using iTunes?
A. The following video will show you how to convert your songs with iTunes.
- The instructions in the video are for Mac users, but PC users can substitute "right click" for "control click."
- To find where iTunes puts the files (for PC users), go to your music library, then right click on the song title and click on "get info." You will see the path to the song file at the bottom of the box, under the summary tab.
